COVID District Notification Letter - Dated 4/12/2021 COVID-19

Franklin Monroe is committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. We want to inform you that that we have recently received information about at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 in a student or staff person at Franklin Monroe High School. Cleaning and disinfecting of the exposed locations has been completed.  

Franklin Monroe will remain open at this time. We are working closely with the Darke County Health Department and anyone identified as a close contact will be notified by the health department as a part of COVID-19 investigation.

2021 Graduation Ceremony Ticket Form Graduation Cap

We are excited to have the opportunity to celebrate the Class of 2021 with our traditional graduation ceremony on May 29th. The ceremony will be modified to meet the recently released guidelines and expectations from the Ohio Department of Health. The most impactful modification is seating. Seating will be limited to a maximum of 6 guests on the floor and three guests in the stands for each graduate. The graduation ceremony will be live-streamed via Facebook. In an effort to accommodate as many families as possible, this form must be submitted by Friday, May 14th. Seating assignments will be randomly assigned. Tickets will be distributed at graduation rehearsal. You must have a ticket to enter the school on graduation. 2021 Middle/High School State Testing Letter FM Logo

Franklin Monroe Middle/High School will begin state testing on April 21st and plans to finish on May 18th. This year, we will be testing with a combination of computer-based and paper/pencil testing options.

With the continued winter weather leading to additional school closings, we wanted to communicate the district's plan for making up the missed time. As scheduled on the district calendar and communicated through the blizzard bag letter sent home with students, Franklin Monroe will make days #9, #10, and #11 of school closure with in-person learning days.

COVID Return to Play Form Ohio Department of Health

In accordance with the Ohio Department of Health Director's Sports Order amended and issued September 25, 2020, any student athlete who tests positive for COVID-19 shall not return to sports activities until a documented medical exam is performed clearing the individual.

The Return to Play Form must be filled out and returned to the Athletic Office before a student athlete may return to contests or practices.
